Nearly 200 guests attended the event organized by Sandúa to present its new olive oils, which took place at the Santa María la Real Cathedral in Pamplona.
An event in which the general manager, Laura Sandúa, also took the opportunity to inform the attendees about the latest details of the new facilities that the company is building in Navarra.
This year, the event took place in the magnificent Refectory Hall of the 14th century Cathedral of Santa María la Real in Pamplona.
Around 200 people celebrated with Sandúa the presentation of its new harvest oils, the result of an early harvest carried out in its ‘Capricho Navarro’ olive grove estate in Ablitas, in the south of Navarra.
Among the guests were different authorities and representatives of Navarrese institutions as well as managers of the agri-food industry, hotel and catering and commercial distribution of Navarra.
At the meeting, Laura Sandúa explained to the guests the different phases of a tasting, guiding them in distinguishing the different olfactory notes, aromas and flavors that can be appreciated in a freshly harvested extra virgin olive oil.
The oils presented “Capricho by Sandúa Empeltre”, “Capricho by Sandúa Arbequina”, “Sandúa Premium Cosecha Seleccionada” and “Capricho Navarro D.O. Navarra”, are the result of the harvest recently carried out in the ‘Capricho Navarro’ estate, located in the scenic surroundings of the Laguna de Lor, in the south of our community.
New facilities at Navarra
During the presentation and speech, the director of the Navarrese company announced the good progress of the construction works of its new facilities in the Agri-Food City of Tudela, which began in July.
Aceites Sandúa will concentrate in Tudela the bottling and commercialization of the oil. “The exponential growth registered by the company in the last years, reaching a turnover of 60 million euros in the last financial year, forces us to take this decision, to continue giving response to the demand of our customers, both at domestic and foreign market level, which already concentrates 30% of our sales” explained Laura Sandúa, general manager of the company.
The works are scheduled to be completed by July next year, with the aim of having the new headquarters operational by November 2025, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the founding of Aceites Sandúa.
In this way, Aceites Sandúa will be part of both Navarre towns, reinforcing its commitment to Ablitas, the town where the company was born and where it will continue to maintain all its activity.
