About us – Aceite Sandua

In 1975, Lorenzo Sandúa Macaya founded Aceites Sandúa in the Navarrese town of Ablitas. Since then, the company has followed a path of growth that has led it to position itself among the top twenty in the oil sector of Spain, never losing the traditional family character that defines it.
Over the last few years, the facilities of Aceites Sandúa have been improved and extended to the current 5,000 m2, which include its own laboratory and a tasting room, to serve customers and suppliers and train them in the best uses of oil. Respect for the environment and energy efficiency have been the guiding principles behind the new constructions carried out by the company.
Next to the headquarters of Sandúa, there are large extensions of olive groves from which native olives of the highest quality are taken to produce the best extra virgin olive oils in Navarre.

The production of 100% Spanish high quality oils is one of the differential values that have defined Sandúa since its beginnings. The company’s continuous improvement plan is based on key aspects such as food safety, quality management and environmental care.

This way of working has led it to obtain and annually renew the strictest international quality standards in the processed food sector, such as IFS and BRC.

Sandúa works day by day from the R+D+i Department on developing new products to meet the demands and needs of the market, which has enabled it to offer a wide range of oils aimed at cooking professionals.

Being aware of this need, Sandúa has a tasting room designed to provide training workshops on the proper use of oil, how to appreciate its organoleptic qualities, the appropriate ways of using it, etc. Aimed at internal staff, customers, suppliers, visitors, etc.

A worldwide clientele. Sandúa oils operates in Spain and in more than 20 countries on five continents. Export is an essential and growing part of the company’s business activity.
