At Aceites Sandúa, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of women from the El Pórtico Day Centre in Ablitas and the Murchante Day Centre to our new facilities in the Tudela Agri-Food City. It was a very special day that left us with cherished memories, conversations brimming with recollections, and a genuine connection to our roots.
A visit steeped in history, tradition and emotion
More than just a simple visit, this gathering was, in a way, a return to our roots. Sharing our workplace with people who have experienced rural culture, the toil of the land and traditional flavours so closely helps us to better understand our own history.
Many of the people who joined us grew up in an environment where olive oil, farming and working in the fields were part of everyday life. Listening to their experiences and seeing how they connected with each explanation reminded us of the true value of authenticity and of the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.
The authentic flavour of extra virgin olive oil
One of the most special and enjoyable moments of the day was tasting our Sandúa extra virgin olive oils on toast. A simple gesture, yet full of meaning.
Seeing how much they enjoyed the flavour, aroma and quality of a good extra virgin olive oil reminded us that authentic products have the power to evoke memories, emotions and shared moments. Extra virgin olive oil is not only part of our cuisine, but also of our cultural and family identity.
At Sandúa, we work every day to keep that essence alive: to offer a quality extra virgin olive oil, produced with respect for tradition and adapted to today’s needs.
Learning from those who have lived the rural way of life
At a time when everything is moving so fast, taking a moment to spend time with people whose life experience is so valuable helps us to learn, reflect and improve as a company and as individuals.
These intergenerational visits offer something very important: perspective. They remind us of where we come from, the effort that goes into every product, and the importance of preserving the roots and values that define us.
Furthermore, they create opportunities for conversation, connection and mutual learning that enrich both our visitors and our entire team.
Commitment to social responsibility and the community
Opening our doors and creating spaces for people to come together is part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to a way of understanding the company that is more approachable, human and connected to people.
Initiatives like these allow us to strengthen our bond with the local community and help build a community that is more united and aware of its roots. We remain committed to projects that bring the culture of olive oil, healthy eating and the values of rural life closer to different generations.
Thank you for reminding us that roots matter
We would like to sincerely thank the group of women from the El Pórtico Day Centre in Ablitas and the Murchante Day Centre for their visit, their warmth and everything they shared with us during the day.
Their enthusiasm and the way they enjoy life’s little pleasures have taught us a valuable lesson: our roots always matter.
And it is precisely there, in our roots, that we continue to find the inspiration to carry on doing things with passion, commitment and authenticity.
