Sandua returns to Alimentaria with its wide range of oils

Once again, Aceites Sandúa will be present at the next edition of Alimentaria, which takes place at the Barcelona exhibition centre from 4 to 7 April.

Aceites Sandua will be showcasing its entire range of oils at its stand. This includes the most select single-varietal and multi-varietal extra virgin olive oils, as well as olive, olive pomace, sunflower, seed and special oils for frying.

The latter are aimed at professionals in the food industry and catering, and provide great added value, compared to most other oils in their sector, as none of them include palm fat or derivatives, nor any other saturated or potentially allergenic fats such as soya or peanut.

Sandúa has its own laboratory for physico-chemical analysis and resistance testing of oils. New special products are developed here so that, due to their combination of oils, they can withstand high temperatures, reduce bad smells and fumes and maintain the quality and good condition of the fried product for a longer period of time. These are basic conditions to facilitate the work and the quality of the result demanded by professionals.

Sandúa will also be at Alimentaria with its premium extra virgin olive oils. A pure olive juice, freshly squeezed and bottled within hours of harvesting in the olive grove it owns next to the Laguna de Lor, in the south of Navarre.

On this estate, known as ‘Capricho Navarro’, Sandúa cultivates arbequina, empeltre and arróniz varieties, to obtain oils of the highest quality.

For Laura Sandúa, the company’s manager, “Alimentaria is an ideal meeting point with customers, while at the same time helping us to create new business relationships with national and international visitors who are interested in quality oils”.

Sandúa has been attending Alimentaria since 1998, a fair that has contributed to its growth in the local and foreign markets. Today, 25% of the company’s turnover comes from exports. Its products are distributed in more than 20 countries on five continents.

Alimentaria 2022 is being held with enormous expectations of commercial and economic reactivation, after the hiatus suffered due to the pandemic, which prevented it from taking place in 2020.

The 85,000m2 exhibition centre will be attended by 3,000 companies from 52 different countries, including new visitors such as Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and Australia, to name but a few.
